Today’s Beauty Blast is all about getting in the KNOW ( I’m sorry I couldn’t resist the pun!)  KNOW!  Hair and Body products (all $18) are the brain children of celebrity hairdressers Scott Bond and George Willman.  After working in NYC salons, they wanted to come out with a line of products that not only provides the luxury quality of high end salon products but is free from many of the chemicals that can prove toxic to our hair and skin .  The Daily Shampoo, Everyday Conditioner, and Body Wash don’t contain any sulfates, silicones, Phthalates, Petrochemicals, Glycols, PEGs, DEAs, TEAs, formaldehyde, parabens, synthetic colors or fragrance.  I honestly haven’t really dabbled too much in green friendly beauty products (and when I have I was left a little disappointed).  So let’s see how these products hold up!

Daily Shampoo:

With a formula designed for all hair types, this product claims to gently cleanse hair while maximizing texture, shine, and manageability.  Some of its natural ingredients include Pink Grapefruit and Orange Oil extracts.   I’ve used this shampoo a few times and it worked great!  It left my hair squeaky clean without leaving it feeling like straw.  It also smelled really clean too, with just a hint of a citrus scent.  I was extremely surprised with this one!

Everyday Conditioner

This color safe conditioner is also formulated for all hair types, aiming to fortify hair while giving it body and shine.  I liked the consistency of the conditioner being not too thin and not too thick.  A small palm full was enough to cover my hair and once it was rinsed out, my hair felt soft and proved manageable when it came time to comb it out to be styled.  The scent was also very nice and subtle.

Body Wash

This daily body wash aims to leave skin soft and replenished without any of the residue many can leave behind.  Well it did exactly what it set out to do, its rich lather leaving my skin soft and feeling clean.  I especially liked the orange/lemon scent it has because it was just right and not overbearing.  It held up to the well known brands that I use, which just added to my pleasant surprise of how well these products worked!
