Fierce OOTD: True Blue

Is it me or are long weekends still too short?  I could use at least one more day to relax after three days of eating, shopping, and more eating!

Blue Blouse

{Blue Blouse:  Thrifted:  Jeggings: Target; Brown Suede Wedges: Naturalizer ( similar ones); Vintage Scarf: Gift; Multi-Strand Necklace: Thrifted; Wood Earrings: Beals}

I’ve been itching to wear my latest thrift store finds since I bought them about two weeks ago and Thanksgiving proved to be a perfect time to wear them. Faith Farm was having a crazy sale where everything was half off.  It was like the Black Friday of thrift stores! LOL.  Both pieces caught my eye because the color blue is my absolute favorite color.

Jeggings

It’s crazy because when I bought the blouse and necklace, it  didn’t even occur to me to rock them together.  I thought it would be too much blue but I loved how it came together.  I had to rock my scarf again and these earrings get crazy mileage in my outfits.  They seem to go with everything!

Blue Beaded Necklace

The blouse is crazy soft, almost like silk and the short sleeves gives me plenty of breathing room. I love how the middle panel hides the buttons and that it’s long enough to tuck into my jeggings.  (Yes my jeggings were a must for Turkey Day!)

I saw the necklace behind the counter as I was buying my shirt and I thought it was crazy awesome!  I had to have it.  The beads reminds me of my Mom’s porcelain plates that we only use for special occasions.  Like those plates, this necklace is a bit heavy, but it won’t deter me from wearing them again!

How was your Thanksgiving holiday?

  2. Love that shade of blue on you and it looks great with the necklace – been watching Black Friday footage over here with open mouths – pepper spray! guns! Geez! That is taking sales shopping to a whole new level!

    • Thank you!

      I don’t understand why people get crazy on Black Friday. It really isn’t that serious to get violent. The first half of my night was pretty crazy but as it got into the late morning hours people seemed calmer (or more tired, either one!)

  3. Happy Thanksgiving MJ! I know how you feel. The holiday just flew by. I was off all last week and it’s as if I blinked and it was over 😦

    Next holiday: last 2 weeks of the year yes!

    Those wedges are hot. I have so much trouble with shoes since my foot surgery several years back smh*
