Fierce OOTD: Playing in Pink

The first week of the New Year proved to be very hectic so I was grateful to get out of the house on Saturday and enjoy the winter-like weather we’ve been having lately.  My husband and I were invited to a children’s birthday party so I wanted to wear something fun, something comfortable, and something that could withstand sticky fingers and spilled juice.

Old Navy Jeans

{Pink polka dot blouse: Thrifted; Pink Cami:  Charlotte Russe; Dark jeans: Old Navy; Pink Pumps:  Nine West similar;  Hoop Earrings: Forever 21; Necklace: Brighton Collection; Bracelets: Gifts}

This shirt is still one of my favorite thrift store finds and instead of wearing it like I normally do for work, I wanted to make it a bit more casual.  Layering it over a complimentary colored cami did the trick and these dark wash jeans were a no brainer (kids, cake, juice…yeah).

Pink Shirt

I haven’t worn these pink pumps in forever so I had to break them out this time.  Now if I would’ve known the party was outside in the backyard, I would’ve gone for my flats.  I guess if I had kids I would’ve worn flats period but I have no kids to chase at this point in my life so…it’s all good!

How was your weekend ladies?

  2. Nice outfit! And I hope I don’t overstep here but I have to ask. Are you losing weight? Sure looks like it.

    I joined Weight Watchers last week and I’m down 5 pounds so far. My goal is 50 pounds by summer!

      You just made my day with that comment!! 🙂 I don’t know if I’ve lost any weight (my scale broke and I refuse to buy another one!) I’m just trying to eat healthier, watch my portions, and get active when I can.

      Congratulations on those 5 lbs!! You go girl!
