Even Product Junkies Have Beauty Essentials

Yes, it’s true!  Even though my bathroom counter looks like the Walgreens Beauty aisle, I do have those products that I always use.  They are those things that even when they run out giving me the opportunity to try something else, I go back and restock. They come through, like an awesome BFF, never failing to help me keep it together!

Mary Kay Medium Coverage Liquid Foundation

Mary Kay Foundation

This is the only foundation I use.  As a matter of fact, it was the first one I started using when makeup really came into my life.  It gives me the right coverage I need without having to pile it on.   My face always looks and feels like I don’t have anything on.  I love this one so much I actually don’t care if I never use another one again!  (Now that’s love! 🙂 )

CoverGirl Press Powder, Shine Control

Covergirl Press Powder

This baby keeps the shiny monster aka my T-zone in check, giving me the matte finish I need everyday without irritating my skin.

Be Blushed Cheek Color in Pink Melon from Avon

Avon Cream Blush

I gave up on powder blush, no matter how hard I tried to find one that could give me the same color and glow that this one does.  I use this every day, even when I’m keeping my makeup to a minimum.

Aussie Moist Conditioner

Aussie Moist Conditioner

Though I reviewed hair conditioners, some of which I really liked, I always come back to this one – the first one I started using since I started my natural hair journey 2 years ago.  It never fails to give me soft, manageable curls and my hair can never get it enough of it!

What are your beauty essentials?

  1. I recently bought Bobbi Brown’s tinted moisturizer and I’m loving it!

    • Ooooh, I’m going to have to try that! I love using a tinted moisturizer, especially in the summer.

  2. Hey MJ
I really like Aussie Moist. The only thing is it’s very water dense. I tried it to set my curls and air dry and it took well over a day! I can only use it for that method in the summer.

    Hope all is well 🙂

    • I think if I tried to do that, my hair may be a stringy mess. I love it for cowashing. I have yet to find a conditioner that leaves my hair exactly the way Aussie does.
