While I thought I could rock all of my pre-preggo clothes for a few months, this munchkin had different plans! Within weeks my hips were widening and my baby bump has officially popped. So that meant that I was going to be shopping sooner than I thought. But before shelling out a bunch of money on a wardrobe that will only last for 9 months, I had to shop my closet and see what I could I still work with and what I actually needed.

I found this dress in the back of my closet that I bought from Target last Fall. I only wore it twice because the length was very deceiving. It covered my butt as long as I was standing (yeah, no bueno!). So to breathe some new life into it, I broke out my leggings whose elastic band is very forgiving (and super comfortable!) I found this combo a lot of fun and wondered why I never thought of it before.

Sidenote: Can I just say how much I love these sunglasses? I bought them at Kirstin Marie’s Clotheshound event a few weeks back and I’ve been wearing them ever since. I can’t go anywhere without my shades!
My other best friends in my closet right now? Anything with a stretchy waist (love my jeggings!), my jersey and knit dresses, and my stretchy Tees and camis that work magic under my blazers. I’ve only had to buy a few maternity pieces as well as some plus size dresses so no major cash spent!
