OMG, I finally got around to doing a vlog! It was one of those things I wanted to do more of on the blog but never got around to doing. I guess it’s because you get soo nervous in front of a video camera (at least I know I did! LOL). After a few takes I got something together and I want to thank Michelle from Radiant Skin for the vlog idea! 🙂
*And oh, please excuse to the nasalness. My cold decided to make a comeback!
Here is just a quick recap of the products I use:
- Black Vanilla Herbal Shampoo from Carol’s Daughter
- Black Vanilla Hair Smoothie from Carol’s Daughter (my deep conditioner)
- Aussie Moist (my co-wash conditioner)
- Cantu Shea Butter Leave in Conditioning Cream
- Cantu Shea Butter Hair Pomade
- Mimosa Hair Honey from Carol’s Daughter
- Lisa’s Hair Elixir from Carol’s Daughter
Here are the links to the posts I mentioned in the video:

/ June 11, 2011Nice to see the products you use while transitioning.
I use 14 in 1 Miracle worker, Shea moistureor hair milk and seal with Lisa’s hair Elixir with my braid outs. I also like using Nutiva Organic Coconut oil to seal my ends after I add in moisture. I love Carol’s Daughter Tui Oil and Leave in conditioner. Wen cleansing conditioner has been great for cleansing and washing my hair and making it soft. For transitioning I have to try products because certain products may react differently on me than someone else.

/ June 10, 2011How about the Lisa’s Hair elixir spilled in my purse! I was able to salvage most of it but when it was all over my hands I just rubbed it on my hair and on my arms lol. It smells sooooooooooo good. Beyond that I’m not sure of the therapeutic effects yet

/ June 8, 2011How about the Lisa’s Hair Elixir spilled out in my Michael Koors bag!!!!!! It was in a plastic but the top opened so it spilled in the plastic and somewhat in my purse a well.
I was supposed to do a co-wash tonight and now i’m not even in the mood. I’ll do it tomorrow.

/ June 8, 2011Yipppee you did it! You did just fine and look very comfortable in front of the camera! The nasalness shows your human side LOL
I need to get on doing Vlogs myself. I’m doling out suggestions for sharing and not even following them LOL.
I’m glad you shared these products too because even though I’m not transitioning, I still need these products for natural hair (a friend gave me Lisa’s hair elixir as a sample…can’t wait to try). I want to try the Aussie Moist. I’m using Herbal Essences Totally Twisted or Hello Hydration for Co-washes. Love them but always want to try new stuff. i’m a PJ too! (LOL you know you’d carry that whole crate of products out during a fire)
Oh make sure you use curlynikki.com and naturallycurly.com as resources for natural hair. I love these sites and am learning so much from other natural ladies 🙂

/ June 8, 2011Aww thank you! I didn’t realize how nasal I sounded until I watched the video! LOL
You will really like the Lisa’s Hair Elixir and the Aussie Moist. The natural hair bloggers are always raving about Aussie Moist and it’s such a good conditioner. Once that runs out, I’ll have to try the Herbal Essences one you use. I’m telling you, these PJ addiction is insane!!
