Beauty Blast: Dr. Miracle’s Hair and Skin Care Products

Happy Tuesday ladies!  Hope you’re enjoying any and all pre-holiday festivities this week!

Today’s on the Fierce review chopping block is the Follicle Hair Collection and My Mircacle Face Care products from Dr. Miracle.  Though I’m very familiar with their hair products, I didn’t know they also had a skin care line, so that’s where I’ll start my review off with first!

My Miracle Face Care Line (which is exclusively sold at Walmart) contains ingredients such as soy and shea butter  and Vitamins C, B3, E, to help heal brittle skin, blemishes, and discoloration while keeping skin renewed.  The line includes a Tingling Acne Facial Cleanser ($5.99) and Facial Toner ($5.99), Day Treatment Moisturizer w/ SPF 15 ($7.99), Night Treatment Moisturizer ($7.99), and a Self Cooling Facial Mask ($6.99).  My favorite is the Day Moisturizer, which was nice and light for my combo skin.  My skin didn’t feel greasy and my skin was moisturized all day long.  The Self Cooling Mask and the Tingling Cleanser came in second, loving the cool, tingling feeling my skin felt after using them!  My face felt extra clean, though the cleanser did leave my skin a little too dry for my taste.  The Night Moisturizer was cool also, the cream thick and moisturizing, great to use after the tingling cleanser.  The toner I didn’t use much only because I don’t have a serious acne problem, though it’s great to use when I break out with that occasional pimple or two.

The Follicle Healer Collection aims to give hair vitamins and nutrients it needs to hydrate the scalp and stop hair loss and breakage.  The collection includes a Pomade ($4.99), Crème ($3.99), Hydrating Oil ($4.99), and a Deep Conditioning Treatment ($1.59).  My fav?  The hair crème, with it’s ingredients of shea butter, vitamins A,E,C & B3, tea tree and jojoba oil, it worked great as an overnight moisturizer for my hair.  My hair is needing that more these days as it’s going through the transition back to its natural state.  My scalp and hair look and feel healthy and moisturized without being weighed down and greasy.  The Hydrating Oil (fortified with tea tree, jojoba, and castor oil)  gave me the same results, the dropper applicator making it easy to apply straight to my scalp.  The Pomade I felt was way too heavy for my hair, leaving it way too greasy.  The deep conditioning treatment didn’t leave my hair as soft as my other treatments did.  I also like my deep conditioning products to be thick in consistency.  This one was a little thicker than water.  A major complaint that I had about all the hair products, even the ones I did enjoy using was the fragrance.  All the products smelled too much like medicine and strong enough other people to smell it.  So I could only use in the evening when I know I wasn’t going anywhere.
